All About keeping and raising Mini Zebu! We also provide a free For Sale listing once you create an account here.
Mini Zebu are popular due to their smaller size, meaning you are able to keep a herd on a smaller homestead style plot of land. They are typically under 42″ at the withers and typically under 650 pounds for a full grown bull.
Mini Zebu are one of the oldest breed of cattle, dating back 8000 years. They are believed to have originated in Southern India.
They are normally kept as pets, or used in shows such as FFA or 4-H. Due to their smaller size they are not commercially raised for beef.
There are two separate entities that maintain papers and registration on animals, the AMZA (American Miniature Zebu Association) and the IMZA (International Miniature Zebu Association). You of course can also keep Mini Zebu’s without registering them, but that will typically effect their value and exclude them and their offspring from being able to be shown.
This website is not for monitoring lines or keeping records of anything other than user entered ranch locations and for sale postings.
